International Honor Society inducts new members during International Education Week

On November 20th, Phi Beta Delta, SSU’s Honor Society for International Scholars, celebrated new members during the International Education Week.

Phi Beta Delta is an international organization with over 179 chapters. Founded in California in 1986, PBD stands for "Love of knowledge, valuing of human life; and achieving excellence". The motto is "Scientia Mutua Mundi" (World's Shared Knowledge). In 2014, Dr. Paul Rich, former PBD President, made a donation in order to name a Mars crater after Phi Beta Delta

Dedicated to recognizing scholarly achievement in international education and intercultural engagement in the community, the society recognizes undergraduate and graduate students, including students who study abroad, as well as faculty and staff involved in international research or commitment. 

Phi Beta Delta is SSU’s Honor Society for International Scholars. The SSU chapter, Zeta Tau, has recognized 40 faculty and staff, and more than 100 students. On November 20th, PBD celebrated new members during the International Education Week.
