During the 2022-2023 academic year, Seawolves from across campus are coming together as a community to discuss and explore Oluo’s work and related issues. This exploration is unfolding across all disciplines and university schools to engage students, faculty, staff, and administrators in classes, talks, public readings, events and performances.

On Wednesday, November 16th at noon in the Student Center Ballrooms, French Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant Annabelle Alibert will present her contribution to the Common Read discussion in the form of a talk entitled, "Let's Talk about Race in France:  Rejecting Race & Ethnicity Surveys in the Hexagon."  This talk is also a part of the celebration of International Education Week, and all are welcome to attend.

The Common Read is a year-long, immersive experience intended to be inclusive and engaging for all members of the campus community. Among our goals is the hope that we will grow stronger as a community by increasing our understanding, empathy, and respect for one another.  Join us!
