BIOGRAPHY
I am bicultural, bilingual, and biliteracy. I was born and grew up in Piura-Peru. My life and working career has always been developed in foreign, multicultural, and multilingual contexts. In 2004, I came to the United States to continue developing my academic career, vocational goals, cultural diversity, and English skills.

I earned a Master's Degree in Spanish (2017) with concentration in Literature, Linguistic and Pedagogy at Sonoma State University (SSU). In 2015, I graduated with a BA. degree in Spanish and Economics from SSU. Also I gained an Associate of Arts degree in Social and Behavioral Science at Santa Rosa Junior College in 2010. In addition, I completed a BA. degree in Business Administration from the University of Cesar Vallejo in Piura-Peru.

Prior to teaching in the United States, I worked as a teacher for many years at Capullanas High School and Sagrado Corazon Elementary School in Sullana-Peru. I started to teach Spanish at Sonoma State University from 2016-2017 where I taught SPAN 202: Intermediate Spanish II. I have also contributed to the SYRCE (Second Year Creative and Research Experience) program at the same university. I was also a Spanish teacher at the Marin School in San Rafael where I taught a variety of Spanish courses for high and middle school students. I have also worked at Venetia Valley School as a reading interventionist Spanish teacher for elementary students and as a community liaison with immigrant Spanish students and their families supporting their needs with school challenges.
